With this in mind, we choose the hotels and lodges offer a wide range of family-friendly accommodation options. The safari can be customized to suit your dates and requirements – perhaps add on or swap in luxury or midrange accommodations. Children over the age of 2 years are welcome on this trip and would really enjoy it – family accommodation is available. Our safari vehicles with the thatched roof for shade against sunny African wilderness; are the extended body with roomy seats for comfortable sitting and stretching out legs. Every guest is accessible to the window seat. Cars are also fitted with fridges, power charge sockets and VHF radio calls for easy and fast communication with the base office.

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Arrive in Tanzania

   • Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will meet us at the arrival point with the signboard written your names on it. Pickup with our private transfer from the airport to Arusha at Masailand Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
   • Dinner and overnight at Arusha Masailand Safari Lodge: Bed, Dinner, Breakfast included.
2. Day2
   Full Day Game Drive to Tarangire National Park

   • Today we head to Tarangire National Park. The park, which has its own source of water, comes into its own in the dry season as birdlife congregates on the Tarangire River and herds of giraffe, zebra, buffalo and, in particular, the elephant can be seen. Predators such as lions and leopards are also regularly spotted here. Our lodge is located outside the park with a stunning view of Ngorongoro Crater.
   • Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn Safari Lodge: Full board.
3. Day3
   Game Drive to Serengeti National Park

   • We head towards the Serengeti National Park. En route game drives and there is an opportunity to visit Masai Boma alongside the way to Serengeti. There are always plenty of resident animals, such as giraffe, buffalo, and elephant, and many large predators such as lion, cheetah, and leopard in the park.
   • Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Acacia Tented Camp: Bed, Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch.
4. Day4
   Another Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

   • We have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top, we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and if you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of the interesting birdlife, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. We return to our special tented camp for the night.
   • Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Acacia Tented Camp: Bed, Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch.
5. Day5
   Game Drive in Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

   • Morning game drive in Serengeti; afternoon drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We have a final game drive in the Serengeti before heading back to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater where we spend the night.
   • Dinner and overnight at Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Camp: Full board.
6. Day6
   Game Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

   • Sleeping near the Ngorongoro Crater means that we are one of the first vehicles to descend into the caldera. Ngorongoro is a Conservation Area rather than a national park. This means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive down to the crater floor, we will gain a glimpse of the Maasai’s lifestyle. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino and leopard (if you are lucky enough). The only animal you won’t see in here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steeps sides of the crater. Later this afternoon we will leave the crater and drive back to Arusha.

7. Day7
   Arusha to the Airport

   • After morning breakfast, we drive straight to the airport for your Interinstitutional flight back to home.
